Plato said "music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." If we could all express our selves adequately with our words, music would be unnecessary.
The Dream Program is excited to announce the beginning of our 8th Program. Mrs. Lauren Watson has agreed to conduct a music class on a weekly basis every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the New Beginnings Church in Escatawpa, MS. The purpose and mission of this music program is to give people with disabilities a chance to use their musical talents in a formal class setting. The class will also put on a Spring Program to showcase all their hard work and learning’s from the spring music classes. Then they will learn new songs throughout the summer and fall and to have a Holiday Program to showcase their hard work during the second half of the year.
If you are interested in participating in this program please fill out the attached registration form and send it in no later than 01/28/12. You can also register online. Her email is lauren.watson82@yahoo.com In order to make sure this class is productive; each athlete will be required to have a parent and/or care provider there to help out. Lindsay and I will not be able to be present at these classes, so we will have to ensure that we have enough volunteers to help Lauren out with the music classes so this will be a successful program!
When you meet Lauren please be sure and thank her for donating her time, and becoming a part of the Dream Program Family. It’s people like her and Vicki Doucet (Art Teacher) that help us continue to make sure that the people with disabilities in our community have a fair shot in everyday life!!!!!
